This past winter Newman and Gray finished extensive work on Day by Day; a 32' lobster yacht designed by Arno Day and built by Frank Day, his brother, in Brooklin, Maine. |
While the wooden hull was structurally in very good condition, the top was in dire need of replacement. |

Both the steering shelter and the trunk cabin were constructed of fiberglassed marine plywood. Laminated fir beams and a mahogany windshield and trunk cabin sides finish out the top. |
Overall, the boat exemplifies the degree of skill at Newman and Gray and our versatility in working with fiberglass or wood. |
