For sale is 23' LOA launch OSPREY that was designed by Arno Day and built by Peter Kass of John's Bay Boat Company in South Bristol, Maine in 1986.

She is a heavily built semi-displacement hull with a full keel that has always been a pleasure boat. The hull is carvel planked with cedar on white oak frames and silicon bronze fasteners throughout.

With a beam of 8' and draft of 2'4" she slips through the water nicely. The inboard 1992 Volvo-Penta 42 horsepower diesel gives her a 10 knot cruise. She has had one owner (Ed Gray the owner of Newman and Gray Boatyard) for the last 22 years and been very well maintained.

The boat swings a big rudder and handles around the docks beautifully and is very seaworthy. All the deck hardware on the boat is bronze. There is a large dodger that can be put up for passengers to stay out of the weather.

The OSPREY is currently in the boat shop getting new decks, rub rails, toe rails, completing stripping all the paint off the hull, bilges painted, and rebuilding the engine. All the surfaces will get a fresh coat of paint and she will look in as-new condition when she leaves the shop. Asking $30,000.
